[ad_1]
In the last five years, no Indian female tennis player has been able to make it to the Junior Grand Slam, due to which Lakshya Sports and Amalgam Steel have launched ‘Project Grand Slam’. The aim of this ambitious project will be to provide full support to five players selected through a rigorous process.
Under this, apart from providing guidance at the grassroots level, full assistance will be provided to young players to prepare them as world class tennis players. In the first phase, Maya Rajeswaran, Prisha Shinde, Kashvi Sunil, Aishwarya Jadhav, Rishita Reddy, Nainika Reddy, Yashika Shokin, Sejal Bhutada and Aakriti Sonkusare have been selected for the project.
Around 100 players will be identified through the recent national competition held in Kolhapur and then after seeing their performance, nine players will be kept in this list. After this, four or five players will be selected to help through the project.
