Christchurch. Rachin Ravindra and Amelia Kerr emerged winners of top honors at the New Zealand Cricket Awards ceremony on Wednesday evening. Ravindra, 24, became the youngest player to win the Sir Richard Hadlee Medal, which is given to the best New Zealand male cricketer of the year.

Amelia, on the other hand, was awarded the prestigious Debbie Hockley Medal for the second consecutive time, which is given to New Zealand’s female cricketer of the year.
Ravindra proved himself in the Men’s ODI World Cup in India. In the tournament, he was the fourth leading run-scorer of the competition with 578 runs at an average of 64. During this period, he scored three centuries and two half-centuries, which also included an unbeaten 123 runs in the opening match of the tournament against England in Ahmedabad. She was also the team’s joint-leading T20 wicket-taker and second-highest T20 run scorer, with 252 runs at an average of 42 and a strike rate of 118.
Her performances on the international front were recognized with selection in both Women’s ODIs and T20Is. Amelia also took the lead on the home front.
She became the first player in the history of the competition to record back-to-back five-wicket hauls, taking 5–10 against Canterbury Magicians, the competition’s all-time best bowling figures, followed by 5–13 against Central Hinds. Achieved.
