New Delhi: Rahul Dravid is still counted among the best batsmen of Test cricket and don’t know how many players admire him. Stormy bowlers like Shoaib Akhtar also rate him as the best batsman, don’t know how many children are there, who still learn batting by watching Dravid’s videos. Dravid had no match in terms of defense and cricketing shot. Rahul Dravid, however, features in Muttiah Muralitharan’s list of great batsmen who could never read.

Speaking at an event in Mumbai, Sri Lankan veteran Muralitharan made this claim in front of Sachin Tendulkar. He said- where many Indian batsmen including Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag and Gautam Gambhir read his bowling, Dravid, the current head coach of India, has failed. Muralitharan said during the trailer launch of his biopic 800 – He (Sachin Tendulkar) read me very well. Many people cannot do this. (Brian) Lara had success, but he never hit me.
He further said- Rahul Dravid is one of the players, but he never read me. Sachin, Sehwag and Gambhir used to study. Even some people in my team understood me very well. Former India captain and current head coach of the senior men’s cricket team, Rahul Dravid is one of the greatest batsmen of all time. He is one of only seven batsmen to have scored more than 24,000 runs in international cricket. Dravid, 50, played at the highest level for India for 16 years, facing and dominating many of the world’s greatest bowlers.
