Jaipur. The Rajasthan government has dissolved the executive of the Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA) following complaints of alleged irregularities in the state body.

Cooperative Registrar Archana Singh dissolved the existing committee late on Thursday night and has also formed an ad-hoc committee in which BJP MLA and Sriganganagar District Cricket Association treasurer Jaideep Bihani has been made the convenor.

Apart from this, Dhananjay Singh, son of State Health Minister Gajendra Singh Khinvsar, Dharamveer Singh, Secretary of Pali District Cricket Association, Harishchandra Singh, Secretary of Jhunjhunu District Cricket Association, Ratan Singh, Secretary of Bikaner District Cricket Association and Pawan Goyal, Secretary of Alwar District Cricket Association. Has been made a member of the committee.

Now, within 3 months of the Lok Sabha elections, RCA Executive elections will be conducted under the supervision of a five-member ad-hoc committee of RCA, in which candidates will be able to contest for all 6 posts including the President.

Brijkishore Upadhyay, convenor of BJP Sports Cell and secretary of Dausa Cricket Association, said that the government has ended the ongoing loot and dictatorship in Rajasthan cricket by dissolving the existing executive. During the tenure of the previous Congress government, there was massive corruption in the Rajasthan Cricket Association, in which the President, Secretary and other officials were also involved. Now there will be a fair investigation against him, only then the players and sports lovers of Rajasthan will get justice.

It is important to mention here that the Sports Council had taken action against RCA on February 22 on charges of financial irregularities and violation of rules and sealed the RCA office. After this, Rajasthan Cricket Association had also presented its stand in the Cooperative Department on 29 February, 4 March, 12 March and 19 March.

During this, RCA officials said that the documents could not be submitted as the office was sealed. Officials said that expressing displeasure over this fact, the investigating officer had given the RCA officials the last chance to present their side till March 28 and hence this action was taken on Thursday night.
