Rameshwar Oraon’s announcement – Will increase employment with investment in Jharkhand, GDP will be Rs 10 lakh crore

Ranchi, Anuj Sinha/Giteshwar Prasad Singh: Jharkhand Finance Minister Dr. Rameshwar Oraon has said that we will create a GDP of Rs 10 lakh crore by 2029-30. He said that the government is spending enough money on the development of the state. Will spend more on this in the coming time.

Dr. Rameshwar Oraon said the above things after inaugurating the new studio at the digital office of Prabhat Khabar in Ranchi on Monday (11 March). He said that at present the GDP of Jharkhand is four lakh crores. After taking the opinion of experts, it was found that to achieve the desired target it would have to be increased at the rate of 14 percent. We are working on it.

What will be the strategy?

Finance Minister Shri Oraon said that first we will increase the revenue. Only if this happens will we be able to increase expenses. We are focusing on commercial tax, GST, forest royalty, royalty on coal. We have a lot of scope to move forward.

He said that Odisha has less mines than we have, but their revenue is much higher. The number of vehicles we have are the same in Rajasthan. Despite this, our revenue is low. Our electricity duty is much less than Bihar. But we have increased the income in this also.

The Finance Minister said that when we started tax collection during the VAT era, people went to court. Then we decided that we will not fight a court battle with our people and moved towards a one time settlement. You will be surprised to know that out of the outstanding of Rs 1000 crore, Rs 500 crore has been received.

Tax burden increased during Corona period

During the Corona period, vehicles were idle and the tax burden increased. Here also we thought of going for one time settlement. Taxes on tempos costing up to Rs 1.5 lakh came up to Rs 25 thousand.

regarding investment

Industrial policy is in place in the state. We are motivating companies to invest here. This will increase employment. Production will increase with investment. Employment is directly related to this. A lot of employment will increase in the field of development works and mining.

Regarding regional disparity in Jharkhand

Roads and building work will be done in areas like Palamu, Santal Pargana. Whatever areas are backward, there will be more work. We are continuously working in Palamu, Giridih and Seraikela. Will balance development.

Will provide all possible help to the agitators

The government’s thinking has been in favor of the agitators. Former Chief Minister Hemant ji’s thinking has been clear that the agitators should be identified. The first task in this was to give pension. This government decided that the amount should be increased further. There is a plan to provide jobs to their dependents. However, development in this matter is quite slow.
