Ranji Trophy Final: Mumbai, Vidarbha chase 538 targets!

Pudhari Online Desk: Ranji Trophy Final: Mushir Khan’s century and Shreyas Iyer, Ajinkya Rahane and Shams Mulani’s half-centuries helped Mumbai set a huge target of 538 runs for Vidarbha Vijay in the Ranji Trophy final. On Tuesday (Dec. 12), on the third day of the match, Mumbai Indians were all out for 418 runs in the second innings. In response, by the end of the third day’s play, Vidarbha had scored 10 runs without losing a single wicket. Atharva Tayde (3*) and Dhruv Shorey (7*) are in the unbeaten tent.

Earlier, by the second day, Mumbai Aghadi would have had 260 runners. On the third day, Musheer Khan (136) and Ajinkya Rahane (73) made a partnership of 130 runs. Mushir’s second first-class century

Mushir faced 326 balls and scored 136 runs with the help of 10 fours. This was his second century in his first-class career. Musheer is in incredible form in the Ranji Trophy. In the penultimate match, the player would have scored a tremendous double century (203*) against Baroda Cricket Association. After this, he scored 55 runs in the penultimate match against Tamil Nadu Cricket Association.

Mushirne Modla Sachin Tendulkarcha Vikram

Sachin Tendulkar’s Motha Vikram Modla during Mushir Khan’s brilliant game. He is the youngest batsman to score a century in the final match of Ranji Trophy for Mumbai. He scored centuries in 19 years and 14 days. Earlier, Vikram would have been Sachin’s rival. In the final match of the 1994-95 Ranji Trophy, he scored a century at the age of 22 against Punjab.

Shreyas Iyer scored a century

Shreyas batted at number five and scored 95 runs facing 111 balls. He hit 10 fours and 3 sixes in his game. At the first party, Shreyas was not able to do anything special. So after 15 runs and 7 runs, there would have been a barrage in the pavilion.

Rahane played the role of captain

Rahane lost 73 runs after scoring 143 runs in the match. Batting at a strike rate of 51.05, he hit 5 fours and 1 six. This would have been his 57th half-century in his first-class career. In first-class cricket, he has so far scored 13,225 runs in 318 innings in 188 matches at an average of 46. This includes only 39 centuries including 57 half-centuries.
