Rape of a girl in Gumla on the pretext of withdrawing money from the bank, police sent the accused to jail, scooter seized

Gumla: A case of rape of a girl from a village in Ghaghra block under Gumla district of Jharkhand has come to light. On the pretext of withdrawing money from the bank, the accused youth took the victim with him. After this, they took her to a village instead of the bank and raped her. While registering the FIR, the police arrested the accused Deepak Oraon on Friday and sent him to jail. SHO Tarun Kumar said that after receiving the application, taking immediate action, the accused Deepak Oraon was arrested from his house. The scooter used in the incident has also been recovered and brought to the police station.

After the rape incident, the victim reached the police station with her maternal uncle and aunt on Thursday evening and gave a written application demanding action against the accused. After this, SHO Tarun Kumar registered an FIR and arrested the accused Deepak Oraon and sent him to jail. The victim lived at home with her grandfather. Parents and brothers have migrated to another place to work at a brick kiln. Accused Deepak Oraon had also gone to work at the same brick kiln. He had returned to the village only a few days ago.

Accused arrested and scooter used in the crime also recovered
After returning to the village on March 16, Deepak told the victim that your brother has sent money to my bank account. You come with me to the bank. Will withdraw the money and give it. Saying this, Deepak brought the victim with him to Ghaghra, but instead of taking her to the bank branch of Ghaghra, he lured her to his relative’s house in Baghima village in Palkot, where the accused raped the victim. The victim was afraid of not telling this to anyone, but gathered courage and informed her maternal uncle and aunt about the incident. After this, on Thursday evening the maternal uncle and aunt brought the victim to the police station and a written application was given by the victim in the police station.
