RCB bowling can lift the IPL trophy – Irfan Pathan

Pathan talked about Kohli’s chances of winning his first IPL trophy with RCB this year. Now that they have got a team, as far as batting is concerned, I actually think the batting has become longer, which it was not there some time ago. And also, many people are not giving a chance to RCB because they feel that their bowling is not like that.

I also think the bowling could have been better, but what they have done is that they have express pace on that pitch. If you can bowl 140+ consistently on flat pitches like the Chinnaswamy pitch, sometimes it can work. Irfan said that I might be surprised if this bowling unit can lift the trophy. For Virat Kohli, this will be a very special moment as he had been wanting this since 2008 but he could not touch that trophy.

Hayden also talked about RCB’s chances this IPL. He said that the way Virat performed in 2023, he was second in his 16 seasons, so it was not just the runs, it was the strike rate at the top. But when you question why RCB are always unlucky in this tournament, how will they defend at home. When it comes to Chinnaswamy Stadium it doesn’t matter if you score 300 runs, so what matters is how to get people out consistently in those conditions.
