WPL 2024 The second edition of the Women’s Premier League (WPL 2024) began with celebrity performances at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Friday. The first match was played between the last edition’s finalists Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals. Mumbai Indians maintained their winning streak by defeating Delhi Capitals once again. The second match is being played between Royal Challengers Bangalore and UP Warriors today i.e. on Saturday (24 February) at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. UP Warriors won the toss and decided to bowl first. Sabbineni Meghna and Richa scored unbeaten half-centuries for Bangalore team, who came to bat first. Meghna scored 53 runs in 44 balls with the help of seven fours and one six. Whereas Richa scored 62 runs in 37 balls with the help of 12 fours. On the basis of brilliant half-centuries by Meghna and Richa, Bangalore could cross the mark of 157 runs. Bangalore has given the target of 158 runs in 120 balls to UP Warriors. Now it remains to be seen whether the UP team can chase this target.

We already knew this. There’s going to be a lot of noise and support. RCB’s fan base is like this. I think it is the same wicket as last night. If we play to our strengths then 175 runs will be a good score.
Alyssa Healy said this after winning the toss
We will have a bowl first. It is amazing to play on such a ground. We have to work with the ball. Poonam is going to play a big role, Chamari Athapaththu – our foreign recruitment will also play an important role for us. Excited to play here.
