New Delhi (Uttam Hindu News): IPL So far in the 17th season of IPL, the worst performance from any one team has been seen by the Royal Challengers Bangalore team playing under the captaincy of Faf du Plessis. RCB has lost 6 out of 7 matches played so far this season. The team has now suffered another big blow in the middle of the season, in which Glenn Maxwell has decided to take an indefinite break considering his physical and mental condition. Just before the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad, Maxwell informed team captain Faf and the management about his decision, due to which he was not a part of the playing 11 in this match. Earlier, his absence was believed to be due to his not being completely fit as Maxwell had injured his thumb in RCB’s last match.

RCB’s this star player took a break in the middle of the season: Glenn Maxwell gave information about taking a break between the IPL 2024 season in the press conference in which he said that considering the performance of the team, it was very easy for me to take this decision. Till now this season our team has not been able to play as per everyone’s expectations and the results are also testifying to this. My personal performance has also not been good at all. In the last few seasons, we used to perform better in the middle overs after the end of the powerplay, but this time we could not do so. I myself realized that I am not able to play positively for the team, so in such a situation it would be right to give a chance to some other player who can perform better than me.
