IPL 2024, MI vs SRH: Head, Klaasen and Abhishek Sharma played explosive innings for Hyderabad.
For Sunrisers, Travis Head scored 62 runs on 24 balls with the help of nine fours and three sixes, while Abhishek Sharma scored 63 runs on 23 balls which included three fours and seven sixes. After both of them were out, Heinrich Klaasen (80 not out on 34 balls, four fours, seven sixes) and Aiden Markram (42 not out on 28 balls, two fours, one six) made an unbroken partnership of 116 runs on 55 balls.
Mumbai also batted brilliantly
Mumbai also made a fast start. From his side, Tilak Verma scored the highest 64 runs in 34 balls which included two fours and six sixes. Tim David reduced the margin of defeat by scoring unbeaten 42 runs on 22 balls. Mumbai also scored 76 runs for two wickets in the power play but in the meantime it lost the wickets of both the openers Ishan Kishan (34 runs on 13 balls) and Rohit Sharma (26 runs on 12 balls), who made a strong start as per the conditions. Rohit hit three sixes in his innings while Kishan hit four sixes, which also included three sixes hit by Bhuvneshwar Kumar in one over. Mumbai team also succeeded in crossing 100 runs in the eighth over. Verma hit three sixes in one over of Shahbaz Ahmed due to which Mumbai was in a good position after scoring 141 runs for two wickets after 10 overs. Verma completed his half-century in 24 balls by hitting a four on Jaydev Unadkat. Meanwhile, he made a partnership of 86 runs with Naman Dheer (30 runs on 14 balls) for the third wicket.
