The recurve archers could not continue the good performance of the compound archers in the ‘World Cup Stage Two’ as India ended their campaign in second place in the table with three medals on Sunday. Korea did not participate in the season-opening World Cup in Antalya. The team won four gold, two silver and one bronze in the recurve section of the World Cup, taking its total to 11 medals. After the early exits of Tarundeep Rai, Atanu Das and young Neeraj Chauhan, India were pinning their hopes on rising archer Dheeraj Bommadevara. Korean archer Oh Jin Hock, however, defeated the Army man 0-6 (29-30, 28-29, 29-30) in straight sets in the pre-quarterfinals.
