Team India star wicket keeper batsman Rishabh Pant has expressed gratitude to Rajat Kumar and Nishu Kumar, who helped him after the car accident and ensured that he reached the hospital safely. Rishabh posted a picture of these two people standing with his mother on Twitter. Pant met with an accident at the end of December 2022 when he was going from Delhi to Dehradun to surprise his mother.

Rishabh Pant wrote in his tweet that I may not have been able to thank everyone personally, but I must thank these two heroes who helped me during the accident and made sure I reached the hospital safely. Pant gave health update

Pant has also given an update on his health and said that his surgery was successful and the road to his recovery has begun. He thanked the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and government officials for their unwavering support. He tweeted that I am humbled and grateful for all the support and wishes. I am happy to inform you that my surgery was successful. The road to recovery has begun and I am ready for the challenges ahead. The accident happened on 30 December

Pant’s accident on 30th December was so severe that his car was burnt to ashes. But in time, with the help of the local people, he was able to get out of the car. He was first admitted to the nearest hospital, then referred to Max Hospital in Dehradun. From there, Pant was shifted to Mumbai by air ambulance, where his leg was operated. According to ESPNcricinfo, he has to have a surgery after six weeks.

Pant will not be able to play IPL

After this accident, Pant is going to take a long time to recover. He has missed the IPL 2023 running from March to May. Not only this, he can also stay out of most of the ODI World Cup starting in October this year. Pant last played in the two-Test series in Bangladesh in December and was rested for the white-ball home series against Sri Lanka.
