Rohit looked happy after winning the T20 series

Indore. On the basis of half-centuries from opener Yashasvi Jaiswal and star all-rounder Shivam Dubey, India defeated Afghanistan by six wickets and won the three-match series 2-0. After the win, captain Rohit Sharma seemed quite satisfied with the team’s performance.

On Sunday evening, India won the second T20 match against Afghanistan by 6 wickets.

Team India easily achieved the target of 173 runs for 4 wickets in 15.4 overs at Holkar Stadium in Indore.

Although India faced a big setback in the form of captain Rohit Sharma in the beginning, opener Yashasvi Jaiswal’s 68 runs on 34 balls and Shivam Dubey’s unbeaten 63 runs on 32 balls made the team’s victory very easy.

After the match, Rohit Sharma said, “We have made it clear what we wanted to do. When you see such a performance from the team, you feel really proud. The players have performed brilliantly in the last two matches and Proved himself in every aspect.”

The second T20 match of the series was also Rohit’s 150th T20 match. Although he was out for a duck for the second time in a row, the right-handed batsman was happy to reach an important milestone.

Shivam Dubey played brilliant innings in both the matches against Afghanistan, while Jaiswal also showed his strength in the second match.

The Indian captain said, ‘We have done a lot of things right in the last two matches. Jaiswal has played Test cricket and even T20. He has shown what he is capable of. He has talent and a great range of shots. Dubey is tall and broad and has a lot of strength. He can topple any spinner. That’s his role and he came and played two important innings for us.”

Afghanistan captain Ibrahim Zadran seemed happy with the performance of his team’s star all-rounder Naib. However, he regretted his team’s failure at various stages of the game.

Zadran said, “We are going for the T20 World Cup, so we do not want to repeat these mistakes. Naib is the most senior player in the team. We have confidence in him and when he played some shots in the powerplay, we wanted to He maintained the same rhythm throughout the innings.”
