Rohit Sharma Statement on Virat Kohli as he breaks many records during 76th century India vs West Indies

Well, Rohit praised former captain Virat Kohli after the match was drawn. He said- In Test matches you need such players who can decorate the innings. As Virat did. He played brilliantly. We have depth, we have diversity. We are at the right place. I always believe in getting better as a team. I said the same thing after the WTC final. We have played cricket continuously. That’s what we’re seeing. We want to focus on all three aspects of the game.
In a match where skipper Rohit led India’s ultra-aggressive style of play in the longest format with his fastest half-century, run-machine Kohli scored his 29th Test century. On the basis of Kohli’s brilliant innings, Team India scored 438 runs in the first innings at Queens Park Oval. The 34-year-old brought up his 76th international hundred with a cover drive against Shannon Gabriel in the recently concluded match between India and West Indies.
Kohli made many records in the second Test against West Indies
Kohli’s first overseas Test century since 2018 came in his record 500th international match for Team India. The former India skipper shares equal relations with legendary Australian batsman Don Bradman. Kohli and Bradman scored 29-29 Test centuries in their respective careers. The batsman also left behind master blaster Sachin Tendulkar in the list of batsmen with most centuries in West Indies. The senior Team India batsman became the fifth-highest run-scorer for the Asian giants in the second Test against West Indies.
