New Delhi. Former India coach Ravi Shastri believes Rohit Sharma’s return to form is a good sign for five-time champions Mumbai Indians.
Mumbai defeated Delhi Capitals by six wickets to register their first win in three matches.
Delhi scored 172 runs in response to which Mumbai won the last ball. Rohit scored 65, his first half-century after 24 innings.
Shastri told Star Sports, “Rohit Sharma handled the pressure very well against Delhi. He led from the front. His return to form is good for him and the team.
He said, “This win will boost Mumbai’s confidence for the matches ahead.”
Meanwhile, batting great Sunil Gavaskar wants Chennai Super Kings captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni to come up the order.
Chennai has to play Rajasthan Royals on Wednesday, which is Dhoni’s 200th match as captain.
Gavaskar said, “I hope Dhoni will come up the batting order so that he gets to play two-three overs more. He specializes in playing big innings.
