Bengaluru. In the sixth match of the Women’s Premier League 2024, a huge uproar broke out when a man forcibly entered the field after breaching the security, but UP Warriors captain Alyssa Healy stopped him from moving towards the pitch.

The incident took place in the match played between UP Warriors and Mumbai Indians on February 28 in Bengaluru. In the last over of Mumbai’s innings, a spectator violated security and entered the field, due to which the match had to be stopped for a while.

Alyssa, who was wicketkeeping at that time. They felt that he would damage the pitch, after which they caught this spectator and separated him. During this time, Healy, who was keeping wicket, tried everything possible to control that person.

Following the incident, Alyssa scored 33 runs off 29 balls and shared an opening partnership of 94 runs with Kiran Navgire to help UP Warriors chase down the target of 162 runs in 16.3 overs and get their first win in the ongoing tournament.

UP Warriors, who are currently placed fourth in the WPL 2024 standings. On Friday, Alyssa’s national team will face bottom-placed Gujarat Giants under the captaincy of opening partner Beth Mooney at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium.
