Sachin impressed with the performance of Harshit Rana-Russell and Klaasen

Kolkata. Great former Indian batsman Sachin Tendulkar was impressed by the thrilling IPL 2024 clash between Kolkata Knight Riders and Sunrisers Hyderabad. He praised Harshit Rana’s final over, and also lauded the ‘amazing innings’ of KKR’s Andre Russell and SRH’s Heinrich Klaasen.

Harshit Rana defended 13 runs in the final over and a brilliant all-round performance from Russell led Kolkata Knight Riders to a thrilling win over Sunrisers in a thrilling encounter at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.

Sachin wrote on X that we saw two amazing innings of Russell and Klaasen. Phil Salt provided a good start, followed by some excellent power hitting from Russell.

Heinrich Klaasen ensured that Sunrisers Hyderabad came close to the target, but Harshit Rana’s powerful bowling in the final over turned the match. Where he sent set batsman Klaasen to the pavilion. With the help of Russell’s stormy innings, KKR reached a strong score of 208/7.

Klaasen’s innings almost ensured Hyderabad’s victory but Harshit Rana gave KKR victory in a thrilling match by sending Shadab Ahmed and Klaasen back to the pavilion.

A target of 209 runs was set by Kolkata for Hyderabad. In reply, Hyderabad scored 204 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in 20 overs and lost the match.
