Sachin Tendulkar: out on 95 runs, then Sachin bathed for 40 minutes, vowed to defeat Pakistan

New Delhi: Whenever a player comes on the cricket field for his country, he gives his life to win the team and what to say if the match is between India and Pakistan. India and Pakistan can go to any extent to defeat each other, be it the country’s border or the playing field. This is the reason that whenever there was a clash between the two teams on the playground, many stories related to it became famous. One such story is related to Sachin Tendulkar when he took bath for 40 minutes for India’s victory and did not come out of the bathroom.

Actually this incident is of the year 2006. The Indian cricket team went on a tour of Pakistan. The ODI match was being played between the two teams. The third match of the series was played in Lahore. In this match, Indian team captain Rahul Dravid won the toss and decided to bowl first. Batting first on their home soil, the Pakistani team posted a score of 288 for the loss of 8 wickets in the stipulated 50 overs. Shoaib Malik scored 108 runs for Pakistan, while Abdul Razzaq scored 64 runs.

And in bowling, RP Singh and Irfan Pathan took three wickets each for Team India. Apart from this, Sachin Tendulkar also took a wicket.

Sachin had missed the century

After bowling, now it was Pakistan’s turn to reply with the bat. In the match, Sachin Tendulkar and Gautam Gambhir landed on the field for the opening. Gambhir returned to the pavilion after scoring just two runs. At the same time, Irfan Pathan, who came out to bat at number three, could not even open his account. The start of Team India was quite disappointing.

Although Sachin stood at one end. Sachin single-handedly thrashed the Pakistani bowlers. However, he got out after reaching his century. Sachin played a marathon inning of 95 runs but as soon as he got out, there was gloom in the Indian dressing room.

In this way, seeing Yuvraj and Dhoni playing well, Sachin decided that he would not leave the bathroom. What was it then, until Team India won the match, Sachin kept taking a bath locked in the bathroom for 40 minutes.

Apart from Sachin’s innings of 95 runs, Yuvraj played a strong innings of 79 runs in 87 balls while Dhoni scored 72 runs in 46 balls in the match. Thus, Team India crushed Pakistan by 5 wickets in the Lahore ODI with 14 balls to spare.
