Sachin Tendulkar salutes ISRO scientists, congratulates the countrymen on the successful launch of Chandrayaan-3

Chandrayaan-3, sent to the moon under the lunar mission, will enter the moon’s orbit on August 5. Chandrayaan-3 was launched from LVM3-M4 rocket. It is the longest and heaviest rocket of its kind. The name of this rocket is ‘Fat Boy’. This is going to be the most technically challenging mission for ISRO scientists.
Chandrayaan will take about 40 days to reach the Moon. Just 16 minutes after launch, Chandrayaan-3 separated from the rocket at an altitude of about 179 km at around 2.50 pm. After this phase, Chandrayaan-3 left for its long moon walk of about 3.84 lakh km.
Expressing happiness over this achievement of ISRO scientists, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi said, ’14 July 2023 will always be inscribed in golden letters in the field of Indian space and it will take forward the hopes and dreams of the nation.’
After the successful launch of Chandrayaan-3, ISRO chief Somnath said, ‘Chandrayaan-3 has started its journey to the moon. Best wishes to Chandrayaan-3 that it reaches the moon in the coming days. Apart from this, he said, ‘ALVM3-M4 rocket has put Chandrayaan 3 in the right orbit. Chandrayaan-3’s activity is completely normal and they are waiting to see it on the lunar surface.
