BJP leader and MP from Bhopal Lok Sabha seat Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur alleged that her comments made after being denied ticket in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections were distorted by the media. He refused to answer any questions from journalists on this issue. While talking to the journalists, Thakur said that whatever we say, you people distort it. I don’t like such things, neither before nor today. After today, I will not talk to the media because you people have been defaming me for the last five years (after becoming MP) to increase your ‘Television Rating Point’ (TRP).
Did not get BJP ticket from Bhopal
The pro-Hindutva activist was speaking to media persons who had gone to her residence to seek her reaction to reports in a section of the media that she was not given a BJP ticket from Bhopal because of possible interference by her in the past. Thakur refused to give any clarification to the media and asked them to refer to the video he posted on Facebook after the BJP denied him re-ticketing from Madhya Pradesh’s Bhopal seat on March 2.

conspiracy to defame me
The Lok Sabha member said, I have posted the original video on Facebook. That is the original video. You will not be able to achieve anything by defaming me. She said that from today onwards she will not talk to journalists and will use her ‘own media’ to convey whatever she wants to convey. In the video, on the matter of not getting the ticket, Thakur is heard saying that the party is supreme. In the last Lok Sabha elections, Thakur had defeated veteran Congress leader Digvijay Singh by a margin of more than 3.64 lakh votes in his first parliamentary election.
