Red card shown to Indian coach

Stimac was thereafter not allowed to stand on the touchline for the rest of the match and former India defender Mahesh Gawli took over his role. Some players of India and Pakistan were also shown yellow cards for unnecessarily interfering in this matter. After Pakistan’s defeat, India’s assistant coach Gawli said that showing the red card to Stimac was a bit harsh but the referee had to act according to the rules.

Assistant coach said this

Gawli said in the press conference after the match, ‘Yes, it was an offense and if you go by the rules then mostly red card is shown for it. But we feel it was a bit harsh on the coach.
