Saryu Rai said- There is pressure from the people of Dhanbad, I should contest elections.

Ranchi: Independent MLA Saryu Rai reached Dhanbad on Friday. Talking to reporters, Mr. Rai said that one of his supporters has been threatened by Baghmara MLA and Dhanbad Lok Sabha candidate Dhulu Mahato. I stand up for my supporters. He said that Dhulu Mahatos collect extortion in Katras and surrounding areas. Their extortion tax is Rs 1200 per truck. There are dozens of criminal cases. Shri Rai said that he is looking at the entire situation of contesting elections from Dhanbad. Hundreds of BJP workers had come to meet him. He said that you should contest elections.

Saryu Rai said that he has also spoken to MAS leader Arup Chatterjee regarding the whole matter. Congress leaders are also in touch. Congress list has not been released. I am also waiting for their list. If I become a common candidate, I will think again. Shri Rai said that Dhulu Mahato has immense wealth. There is also money power and goonda power. In such a situation, the elections will have to be fought with full strength. Considering the current situation, there is a lot of pressure on me. I will take any decision only after the stand of all the parties regarding Dhanbad is clear.

Purnima Neeraj Singh reached Delhi, will meet in-charge

Here, the politics of Koylanchal is taking a turn after BJP made Dhulu Mahato its candidate from Dhanbad. Congress MLA from Jharia Purnima Neeraj Singh has reached Delhi. She will meet in-charge Ghulam Ahmed Mir. Mrs. Singh had earlier refused to contest elections from Dhanbad. The Congress leadership has called Mrs. Singh to discuss the Dhanbad Lok Sabha elections. The party believes that it can take a strong electoral front against Dhulu from Dhanbad.
