Market means buying and selling and presence of a woman in the market means money in her purse i.e. her power to buy. In fact, having a purse means empowerment of a woman because it contains money. Without money no one has power.
Since then, this belief has gained strength in the society that not only the education of girls but also their self-reliance is very important. The idea of ​​women’s self-reliance has gained momentum in cities as well as villages. Today a large number of girls are moving from villages, towns and small towns to cities where better employment opportunities and opportunities are available. Even parents are no longer stopping them by saying that she is a girl, how can she send her out alone. But some adverse situations are also seen in cities. Where as soon as a single girl goes to ask for a room or house on rent, she has to face fifty types of questions, such as how did your parents send you alone, what time will you return from office, is there any friend or companion? So you won’t come along, you don’t drink alcohol, you don’t party at night.

Coincidentally, this writer met two such girls recently. One had come from Himachal and was working in Noida. The second one was from Madhya Pradesh. Both had the same problem. The girl working in Noida would still return from office by eight o’clock, but the girl working in Gurgaon’s office would end at 1.30 in the night. In such a situation, she would reach home around 2.30 o’clock. Hearing about this time of return, no one was ready to give him a room. She was upset because she lived with a friend of her father. After all, for how long would you stay there? Therefore, she was looking for a PG hostel which was near the office. But it was not available easily. There are no less challenges for girls who enter the world of employment alone. Whether their parents or family members say anything or not, often outsiders become their guardians. That is why they have to face great difficulty in finding a place to live.
Actually, when the governments have set the goal that they have to not only educate every girl but also make her stand on her own feet, then they should also keep in mind that when these girls leave their homes, If they go out, how will proper and safe arrangements for their accommodation be made? Security is the biggest issue for girls. Today, leave alone small cities, there are very few hostel and PG facilities for working girls even in big cities. Among those that are there, there is no guarantee of safety in most of them. Such news keeps coming continuously. Apart from this, the roads of metropolitan cities are very scary for the girls who return from work late at night. However, there are clear instructions from the companies to the cab drivers that they should drop the girl not on the road, but at a place from where she can go straight inside the house or hostel or PG. But what if an accident happens to the girl on the way? How should there be such a system that girls can come and go to work safely and live there?

The problems of a single girl living in the city are also related to health. Suppose, she falls ill, then how should arrangements be made for her proper treatment, what should be the measures for her safety in the hospital, how should she be taken care of until the family can come? When girls study, write and work, these challenges will obviously arise. This writer has seen women of all ages coming and going alone during the day and night in Europe. The feeling of fearlessness can be clearly seen in his eyes. There no one harasses the girls like it usually happens here. Our women do not get this kind of environment. If we are proud of our culture, consider women as goddesses, but cannot provide them such an environment where they can do their daily work without fear, then why is it so? Both governments and society need to think about this. There is no solution to any problem that cannot be found with effort.
