Dubai. Sikandar Raza was in his best form and the Zimbabwean all-rounder hit a six off the last ball to guide Dubai Capitals to a crucial win over Desert Vipers in ILT20 Season 2. The win at the Dubai International Stadium on Friday set Dubai Capitals up for their final league match against MI Emirates, which will decide their playoff fate.

Chasing the target of 171 runs to win on Friday, Raza kept his team in the race for the playoffs by hitting a six on the last ball of the match.

Talking about the moment when he won his team the match, the Zimbabwean all-rounder said, “It is the stuff of dreams. From my point of view, we needed this win to stay in the competition. And such a victory will be very helpful in boosting our confidence. This has made us suddenly believe that we can win from any situation. We are confident that we can make it to the semi-finals. Going into the match against MI Emirates, we have a chance to remain in the race for the playoffs.

Raza expressed his views even during such a difficult moment of the contest. “When there were 2 balls left, and we needed six runs to win, I just wanted to take the ball through extra cover, but Ali Naseer bowled a nice slower ball which bounced towards me, which I missed. From there, it was just a do or die situation. In that situation, I decided to give my best.
