Chandigarh. Chandigarh Men’s Football League for Gilco Trophy got a new champion with JSM Football Club winning it. On Tuesday, the last day of the league, JSM Football Club defeated Burail Football Club 1-0 and secured the title. Golden Football Club won the second match of the day.
In the league match played at Sector-46 Sports Complex Ground, JSM Football Club started aggressively, but on the other hand, players of Burail Football Club also kept defending the goal. JSM Football Club got success in the 26th minute of the match and Shobhit opened the team’s account. The team maintained its lead in the first half.
In the second half, Budail Football Club intensified the game and tried its best to score a goal. JSM Football Club did not allow the team to succeed in this and till the end the score remained 1-0. The team won the match and the title. JSM Football Club team stood first with 22 points.
In the second league match of the day, Golden Football Club defeated Sai Baba Football Club 11-0. For Golden Football Club, Tvesan scored three goals in the 19th, 40th and 53rd minutes, while Norem scored two goals in the 18th and 68th minutes. Ramesh also scored two goals in the fourth and 22nd minutes. Apart from this, Yumnam scored 1 goal each in the 12th minute, Shammi Kumar in the 21st minute, Sanjay in the 24th minute and Krishna in the 57th minute. The third league match of the day was played between Sandhu Football Club vs Uttarakhand Football Club.
