India has also decided to finish number-1 in the points table. That means India will face the fourth placed team in the semi-finals. In the match played at Eden Gardens, Kolkata, the African team had got the target of 327 runs. In response, the entire team was reduced to 83 runs in 27.1 overs. No batsman from the African team could touch the 20-run mark. For India, Ravindra Jadeja took 5 wickets, while Mohammed Shami and Kuldeep Yadav took 2 wickets each. In this match, India won the toss and batted first and scored 326 runs losing five wickets. Virat Kohli scored the highest unbeaten 101 runs for India. He scored his 49th century in ODI and equaled Sachin’s world record. Shreyas Iyer contributed 77 runs and captain Rohit contributed 40 runs. For South Africa, all the bowlers except Aiden Markram took one wicket each. In response, the South African team could score only 83 runs. Marco Jansen scored the maximum 14 runs. Apart from them, Dusen scored 13 runs and Bavuma-Miller scored 11 runs each. Apart from these, no African batsman could cross the double figures.
