Sport News: Butler unhappy with players’ preference for franchise cricket

London : England’s limited-overs captain Jos Buttler has admitted that he is upset at not being able to pick the best team for international tournaments with players preferring franchise cricket. Alex Hales, Sam Billings and David Willey have decided not to play the series against Bangladesh in March to play franchise cricket.

Butler told ESPN Cricinfo, “We want to pick our best available team. In World Cup and big ICC tournaments. If someone doesn’t play then others will get a chance but I don’t want to get into a situation where you say this player will never play for England again.
