Sports Ministry sends wrestlers to Romania for special training camp and competition

Six wrestlers have been sent by the Ministry of Sports to Romania to participate in the Ion Kornianu and Ladislau Simon tournament from August 18 to 20.
Six wrestlers, who were part of the Asian Games team, left for Romania along with three support staff members for a special training camp and competition under the Sports Ministry’s scheme to assist the National Sports Federation.
In fact, according to the press release issued on Friday, during this tour the team will take part in Ion Kornianu and Ladislau Simone tournament from August 18 to 20. While this international tour will be of 15 days, in which the entire expenses of the team’s training, ticket and stay arrangements, visa expenses and ‘out of pocket’ allowance will be borne.
While the Asian Games will be held in Hangzhou, China from 23 September to 8 October. Greco Roman wrestlers who toured Romania are Gyanender (60kg), Neeraj (67kg), Vikas (77kg – Khelo India Athlete), Sunil Kumar (87kg – TOPS Athlete), Narinder Cheema (97kg – Khelo India Athlete) and Naveen (130 kg).
