Sri Lanka all out for 50, India becomes Asia Cup champion for the eighth time

Colombo,. Thanks to the havoc-wreaking balls of fast bowler Mohammed Siraj (6-21), India won the title for the eighth time by defeating Sri Lanka for just 50 runs in the final of the Asia Cup. India scored 51 runs without losing any wicket in 6.1 overs and achieved the most one-sided win by 10 wickets with 263 balls remaining. India had won the Asia Cup seven times before – 1984, 1988, 1990-91, 1995, 2010, 2016 ( T20 edition) and in 2018. Pandya joined the list of wicket-takers by dismissing Dunith Velales and gave an easy catch to Rahul on the top edge. He took the remaining two wickets and ended Sri Lanka’s innings at 50 runs in 92 legal balls.
