According to ICC rules, if the umpires agree that the field, weather or lighting or any other circumstances are dangerous or unfair, they will immediately suspend play.

Bangladesh head coach Chandika Hathurasinghe on Sunday expressed concern over the severely poor air quality index (AQI) here ahead of the World Cup match against Sri Lanka, saying they are trying to minimize the risk to the players. Hathurasinghe said that in such a situation we are trying to reduce our risk in the external environment.
