Stuart Broad: Not only Yuvraj, this Indian player also brought down the ghost of Stuart Broad, no one believed

Although Stuart Broad’s career has undoubtedly been golden, but some of his matches have also been such that he would never want to remember. In Test cricket itself, Broad, in front of whose bowling where the feet of good batsman used to tremble, the same Broad has also held the world record for spending the most runs in an over during his bowling.
This record of Stuart Broad was made against India. A Test match was played in July 2022 between India and England. Of course, the England team had won this match, but Team India’s fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah had worsened the condition of Stuart Broad while batting.
Bumrah scored 35 runs in one over against Stuart Broad. It has also proved to be the costliest over in the history of Test cricket. This was not the first time that an Indian player has wreaked havoc against Stuart Broad. Earlier in the year 2007, Yuvraj Singh hit 6 sixes in an over against Broad during the T20 World Cup.
Broad’s 35-run over against Bumrah
Bumrah hit a hook shot on the first ball of that over against Stuart Broad. Although he could not time it perfectly, the ball went for four, after which, in desperation, Broad hit a bouncer that was wide and went out of the ground, crossing the wicketkeeper and getting five runs.
Broad’s next ball was a ‘no ball’ on which Bumrah hit a six. On the next three balls, Bumrah hit three consecutive fours in different directions – mid-on, final leg and mid-wicket.
On the fifth ball of that over from Broad, Bumrah hit a six over deep mid-wicket and took a single off the last ball, taking the total to 35 runs in the over. This proved to be the costliest over in the history of Test cricket.
