Sunil Gavaskar Predicted India Playing 11 WTC 2023 Final

Former India captain Sunil Gavaskar believes that India should go ahead with 3 fast bowlers and 2 spinners in their World Test Championship (WTC) final playing XI. Ishan Kishan should also be kept out for KS Bharath. India will take on Australia in the WTC final at The Oval on June 7 to lift the trophy after losing to New Zealand in 2021.
Ishaan Kishan or KS Bharath
Before the final Test match of the season, Gavaskar insisted on playing KS Bharath and said that he should be kept ahead of Ishan Kishan against Australia. Gavaskar said- I will talk about batting. Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill will be the openers. Number 3 is Cheteshwar Pujara, Number 4 is Virat Kohli, Number 5 is Ajinkya Rahane.
The hero of the Border Gavaskar Trophy was dismissed
Gavaskar saw some weakness in the No.6 position for the national team, as he had to choose between Bharath and Kishan. Gavaskar said- I think number 6 will be either KS Bharat or Ishaan Kishan. Bharat has played all the matches so far. That’s why probably Bharat will remain at the sixth position. The veteran cricketer picked 3 fast bowlers and 2 spinners in the playing XI. However, India’s Border-Gavaskar Trophy hero Akshar Patel was not included in the squad.
Who will be the 3 fast bowlers?
Gavaskar said – Number 7 will be Ravindra Jadeja. Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin can bat well at No.7 and No.8. Number 9, 10 and 11 will be Mohammed Shami, Mohammed Siraj and probably Shardul Thakur. Earlier, former Australian captain Ricky Ponting picked Kishan, who scored a double century in ODIs, in his team. He believed that Ishaan is the X factor.
