islamabad (Best Hindu News): The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has made it clear that it has not floated the idea of playing the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 at a neutral venue or a hybrid model for Pakistan at any stage.
PCB chairman Najam Sethi said that at no stage has his board floated the idea of hosting Pakistan’s one-day World Cup matches at neutral venues in any international cricket council.
India will host the Cricket World Cup in October and November this year while Pakistan will host the Asia Cup 2023.
Some media reports said that the Pakistan team is considering playing its World Cup matches at neutral venues. In a statement released on Friday, Sethi made it clear that there is a proposal to host India’s matches at neutral venues before the Asia Cup administrators but denied that any such move in the World Cup has been formally approved by the ICC.
