He also said, ‘If it is proved that we had asked for exemption, then we are ready to quit wrestling. We never wrote any letter for exemption. Whereas Vinesh said, ‘We had written an email to the entire (WFI monitoring) committee. In this he was told that Yogeshwar Dutt was leaking the statements given by the wrestlers. No action was taken in this regard.

Yogeshwar Dutt had recently given a statement that the committee headed by Bhupendra Singh Bajwa has done injustice to the junior wrestlers by giving exemption to the agitating wrestlers in the trial. He had shared a video on his social media handle and said that I do not understand what parameters have been followed by the panel which decided on the trial for all those 6 wrestlers.
Let us tell you that for 6 wrestlers Vinesh Phogat, Bajrang Punia, Sakshi Malik, Sangeeta Phogat, Satyavrat Kadayan and Jitendra Kinha, the Olympic Association has allowed only one competition in the selection process for the upcoming Asian Games and World Championships. They do not have to be a part of the initial trial. These 6 people will directly compete with the winners of the trial on 15th August.
