fourth generation Toyota Vellfire Has been launched in India. Bookings for the new luxury MPV have now commenced, while it is being offered in two wide variants: Hi and VIP Executive Lounge. Prices for the new Vellfire range from Rs 1.20 crore to Rs 1.30 crore (rounded off, ex-showroom pan-India). The new and improved MPV costs around Rs 23 lakh more than the previous version.

It gets a minimal and clean cabin layout with a 14-inch touchscreen. The 4-seater version gets ottoman seats with massage function and multiple adjustments.

Other features include 14-colour ambient lighting, dual-panel sunroof and six airbags.

The massive grille with deep chrome slats looks similar to the latest Toyota Land Cruiser SUV. The new Vellfire gets sleek 3-piece LED headlights and DRLs, while the bumper gets a chrome lip and a large air dam with fog lamps.
The profile of the Vellfire retains the MPV-like appeal, while it now gets a Z-shaped element on the B-pillar, which acts as a kink in the windowline. It is also from this angle that you spot its massive, black 19-inch alloy wheels and the MPV’s wide length and wheelbase, which measure 5.01 meters and 3 meters respectively. At the rear, the new Vellfire comes with wing-shaped wraparound and connected LED taillights, a massive, straight tailgate and “Vellfire” badging. It can be chosen from three exterior color options: Black, Precious Metal and Platinum White Pearl.
Toyota has also increased the premiumness of the Vellfire’s cabin by giving it a minimalistic and clean layout. The new version of the MPV also gets a refreshed 3-spoke steering wheel with copper accents. Its cabin can be in three theme sunset brown, beige and black.
For India, Toyota has equipped the fourth-generation Vellfire with a 2.5-litre petrol-hybrid powertrain that makes 193PS and 240Nm, paired with an e-CVT. Thanks to its strong-hybrid setup, it is claimed to deliver an average fuel economy of 19.28kmpl.
The highlight of the new generation cabin is the 14-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which is the largest central display on a Toyota car in India. Other equipment on offer includes a fully digital driver’s display, a dual-panel sunroof, wireless phone charging and 60+ connected car tech features. It also gets 8-way power-adjustable driver seat with memory function, 14-colour ambient lighting and 15-speaker JBL sound system. Safety net includes six airbags, adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, vehicle stability control , a 360-degree camera and all four disc brakes are included.
