Kanpur News: The auction process of players for the UP T20 Premier League, to be played for the first time by the Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association (UPCA) on the lines of the Indian Premier League (IPL) in Kanpur, began at Hotel Taj in Lucknow on Sunday. Meanwhile, some problems are also coming to the fore regarding the league.

These flaws have to be removed

The focus of the lights installed at the Green Park Stadium in Kanpur has been found to be less than required. At the same time, the problem of parking is also a big issue. Along with this, the Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association has not yet deposited the fees for the stadium. The appeal to Kanpur district administration to demand fees has not worked, because the decision on this has to be taken at the government level.

At the government level, what steps UPCA will take in this regard to waive the fees, its picture has not been clear yet. The last option is to deposit the fees. In such a situation, it is a big challenge to rectify these shortcomings in time.

The auction of the players of the UP T20 Premier League started at the Taj Hotel in Lucknow. Six franchisees will buy 120 players from UP. A player can be bought at a base price of 25 thousand to 15 lakh. Explain that a team can spend up to one crore to buy 25 players. A franchise will buy 20 players. At the same time, five players can be kept by the franchisee of their choice.

Players divided into five pools

According to Ankit Chatterjee, CEO of Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association, the process of signing contracts with franchises and auctioning players has started. The names of the teams will also be announced. The expenses of the players will have to be borne by the franchisee separately.

The players are divided into five pools for the auction. In this, batting, spinner, medium pacer, all-rounder and wicket-keeper have been kept. He told that the players will be auctioned in three categories. Players of each category will have to be taken by each franchisee. This includes players playing international, IPL and domestic cricket.

Most in demand of these players

In the ongoing UP T20 League auction at the Taj Hotel in Lucknow, all the six franchises are trying to buy the legendary players of UP. Everyone is eyeing IPL players Ankit Rajput, Bhuvaneshwar Kumar, Priyam Garg, Rinku Singh, Karan Sharma, Upendra Yadav, Akshdeep Nath, Aryan Jual, Shivam Mavi, Saurabh Kumar, Karthik Tyagi.

Total 33 matches will be played

A total of 33 matches are to be played in the UP T20 Premier League. For this, preparations have been started in Green Park. Of the nine pitches made here, five will be used for the tournament. For this, number three, four, five, six and seven pitches are being prepared. This decision has been taken after talking to the broadcasting company Jio, which came here to inspect the place last days. At the same time, two strip wickets will also be made, which will be next to the number three and seven pitches.

Meanwhile, an important issue of parking has come to the fore in the UP T20 League being organized by the Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association (UPCA) at Green Park. Association director Riyasat Ali inspected the Green Park Stadium. During this, the problem of parking first came to the fore in Green Park. The focus of the lights installed in the stadium was found to be less.

Light got low for day-night match

The team is continuously inspecting Greenpark for the telecast of UP T20 Cricket League. The team found that the day-night match in the stadium should have 2500 lux (unit of light) according to the standard. At present there is a system of 2300 lux lighting. According to UPCA director Riyasat Ali, five crore will be spent to improve the lights, five to six lights have been asked to be installed. At the same time, there is also a problem of parking in Greenpark. Whatever matches were held earlier, administration and VIP vehicles used to be parked towards the old pavilion, but now there is a cafe.

Rs 31.25 lakh is the fee for one match

The broadcast team had asked the association to install separate lights. At the same time, UPCA has not deposited the fees of the stadium yet. District Magistrate Visakh ji has issued a letter to the association asking them to deposit the fees. The association will have to pay a fee of Rs 31.25 lakh per match.

Will not be allowed to play the match without depositing fees

The association will have to deposit Rs 10.31 crore in the account of the state fund. The office bearers of the association have demanded the District Magistrate to waive off the fees. However, the District Magistrate has clarified the situation and said that it is not in his jurisdiction. Fees can be waived only at the government level. If this is not done, no match of the league can be played at Green Park Stadium.
