UPCA engaged in preparations

A letter of Rs 10.31 crore sent by the Sports Department to Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association (UPCA) was discussed with Sports Secretary Suhas LY. On this, the Sports Secretary gave instructions to conduct the league in Kanpur in a better way, after which the UPCA has started preparing for the UP T20 League. UP T-20 league is proposed to be held in Green Park from 30th August. The Sports Department had demanded Rs 10.31 crore from the UPCA for conducting 33 matches. On this UPCA was considering shifting the league to Lucknow or Noida.

Players will come to Kanpur on August 25

For the first time in the state, the UP T-20 league match will be held at Green Park from August 30. For UP T20, players of all the six teams will come to Kanpur on August 25 and start preparing for the tournament. There will be two matches in the league every day, in which the first will be played from 3.30 pm and the second from 7.30 pm.

While five wickets have been prepared for the matches, two wickets have been made at both ends for practice. Since there are less days left for the competition. That’s why all the teams will be given equal opportunity to practice in the field.

Players will practice in floodlight

Each team of the UP T-20 league league will get a chance to practice under floodlights only once. Shivakumar, the chief pitch curator of UPCA, told that the practice session of the teams has been kept from 25 to 28 August. Two sessions have been kept daily in the floodlight, in which only two teams will be able to practice. Although other teams can definitely practice here during the day.

Recently, the Prasar team had inspected the Green Park regarding the UP T-20 League. During this, the light of the flood light installed here was found to be less. The work of correcting which is now being started. Significantly, in day-night matches, there should be at least 2500 lux lights on the field, but here only 2300 lux came out. Apart from replacing the bad bulbs of the floodlights, high fluxes will also be installed in the gallery of the stadium.

A total of six teams will play in the first edition of the UP T20 League. The special thing is that these teams have been named after six cities of Uttar Pradesh. In this way, this league will also be seen promoting the cities of Uttar Pradesh.
