New Delhi: The world’s fastest sprinter caught up with Usain Bolt. Suddenly someone has stolen Rs 100 crore from his bank account. According to reports, Jamaican star athlete and gold medalist of all major tournaments Usain Bolt has lost $12.7 million (Rs 100 crore). The money was in the account of an investment firm in Jamaica. Bolt is now considering taking the matter to court.
The athlete had an account with Stocks and Securities (SSL) in Kingston and now his bank balance has come down to $12,000. This information has been confirmed by his lawyer, Linton Gordon. Speaking about the shocking incident, Bolt’s lawyer, Linton Gordon, said he would take legal action with his client if the firm refused to return the money. After the statement of the lawyer, now Bolt has reacted strongly to this and he has made two tweets. The Olympic medalist also posted a picture on his official Instagram handle reacting to the whole incident. On the other hand, Jamaica has started an investigation into the matter. The Financial Services Commission (FSC) said the firm was being investigated.
According to Bolt’s attorney, Linton Gordon, the account was meant to serve as Bolt’s pension for him and his parents. Bolt, who surprised the world with his ferocity, took retirement in 2017. Bolt is as famous in Jamaica as Brazilian football legend Pele and American boxing champion Muhammad Ali. Not only this, his name is taken with great respect all over the world. The Jamaican sprinter holds the world records in the 100m, 200m and 4 × 100m relay.
