Batting first in the match, Australia declared their innings by scoring 604 runs for 7 wickets. In response, Team India could score only 272 runs, due to which Australia got a lead of 332 runs in the first innings.

In the second innings too, the Kangaroo team declared their innings by scoring 167 runs, after which Team India had a target of 500 runs to win, but the entire team was reduced to 201 runs.
