New Delhi: Former India captain Virat Kohli has praised actress wife Anushka Sharma. Talking about Anushka and daughter Vamika, he told how the Bollywood actress has made a big sacrifice as a mother. The cricketer recently said in an interview that seeing how Anushka carried on with her life made him realize that ‘whatever problems she had, they were nothing’.

Anushka and Virat married in Italy in 2017 after dating for a few years. The couple welcomed daughter Vamika Kohli in January 2021. Talking about the ‘last two years’ with his wife and daughter, Virat said that what really matters is that ‘your family loves you. Before that goes who are you?

Virat said during his recent RCB (Royal Challengers Bangalore) podcast – The way things have happened in the last two years, we have our child. The sacrifices she has made as a mother are massive. Virat further explained how Anushka inspires him. He said, “When you look for inspiration, you start from home and obviously, Anushka has been a big inspiration for me. I had a completely different approach to life. When you fall in love with a person, You start to understand those changes. His outlook towards life was different and it inspired me to be better and accept things.

Earlier this year, Virat admitted that he was disappointed in his career. During this, his wife Anushka Sharma inspired him a lot and he returned to form after a bad phase. Virat had told Suryakumar Yadav – Disappointment was coming in my life. It was not fair to (wife) Anushka and my close ones.

He recently did a cameo in his brother Karnesh Sharma’s Netflix film Kaala (2022). She was seen in the song ‘Ghode Pe Sawar’. Anushka will next be seen in Chakda Express, her first project after the birth of daughter Vamika. The film is based on the life of cricketer Jhulan Goswami.
