Talking about the match, Netherlands defeated South Africa with the help of three wickets by Logan Van Beek, half-century of captain Scott Edwards and all-round performance of Roelof van der Merwe. South Africa is now in third place with two wins and one loss and four points. Netherlands has reached eighth position above Australia with one win and two losses.
South Africa could not score 246 runs
Chasing 246 runs in 43 overs, the Proteas got off to a good start, with Quinton de Kock and captain Temba Bavuma hitting some big hits. However, Colin Ackerman ended the partnership between the two at 36 runs. De Kock was out on 20 runs. South Africa’s score in eight overs was 36/1. In the next two overs, the game turned in Netherlands’ favor as they dismissed captain Bavuma (16) and Aiden Markram for just one run. In his next over, Merve also got Rassie van der Dussen caught by Aryan Dutt and dismissed him for four runs. South Africa’s score was 44/4 in 11.2 overs. After this the South African team could never recover. Wickets kept falling from time to time and the result is in front of everyone.
