What sets the C40 apart is its distinctive coupe roofline, which gets a raked windscreen and revised LED taillights. Notably, the tailgate has been redesigned and the taillights now flaunt a slimmer and wider profile, creating a wraparound effect. Additionally, new reverse lights have been incorporated in the design.

The front styling of the C40 Recharge is similar to that of the XC40 Recharge. Nevertheless, the C40 seems to have managed to carve out a distinct identity for itself. The C40 Recharge is based on the brand’s CMA (Compact Modular Architecture) platform and draws power from a new generation battery pack. The 78 kWh unit offers a range of 530 km (WLTP round) on a single charge, which is much higher than the 418 km range on the XC40 recharge. The old battery is still used in this.

The Volvo C40 Recharge will rival the Kia EV6, Hyundai Ioniq5 and the Mercedes-Benz EQB upon arrival. Prices for the electric coupe SUV are expected to start from Rs.60 lakh onwards. Its unique body style gives it an edge over its rivals in the segment.
