Voters will get voter slip 3 days in advance

Bhagalpur District Election Officer cum District Magistrate Dr. Naval Kishore Chaudhary held a press conference at Samiksha Bhavan on Saturday after the Election Commission of India released the press note of the Lok Sabha elections. He said that the elections have been announced. Voting will take place in Bhagalpur on 26th April and counting of votes will take place on 4th June. Section 144 has been implemented. Legal action will be taken against gathering of five or more people. Permission will be necessary for meetings, rallies, processions etc.

24 hours’ time has been given to remove the banners and posters put up at various places. To put up posters on a private building, it will be necessary to take permission from the building owner. To obtain permission, political parties can apply on the Suvidha Portal. Permission is required to land the helicopter. There will be a maximum of 10 vehicles in any convoy. Two processions will not be allowed on the same route. There is a ban on making religion, caste, language or personal comments. To install a loudspeaker on the vehicle, permission will have to be taken from the SDO. The Commission’s guidelines have been made available to political parties.

DM said that voter slip will come seven days before voting for Lok Sabha elections. Voters will get the slip three days in advance. The concerned agency will work for this. At the same time, there are 2234 polling stations in all the seven assemblies of the district.

In this, the number of polling stations in Bihpur assembly constituency is 251, 264 in Gopalpur, 350 in Peerpainti (Scheduled Caste), 343 in Kahalgaon, 336 in Bhagalpur, 352 in Sultanganj and 338 polling stations have been made in Nathnagar assembly constituency. 14 mobile polling stations have been set up, including three in Bihpur assembly constituency, two in Kahalgaon, six in Bhagalpur and three in Sultanganj. The total number of polling station buildings in the district is 1267. DDC Kumar Anurag and Deputy Election Officer Shweta Kumari were present in the press conference.

Counting of votes will take place in Government Polytechnic

The counting of votes for the Lok Sabha elections will take place at the Government Polytechnic located in Burari. Dispatch centers have been set up in Polytechnic, Murarka College and Navgachia.

Seven lakh voters are missing, they must come to vote
