Road accident in Deoghar, people angry over the death of a youth burnt the truck, the road remained blocked for two and a half hours

Deoghar/Jasidih: On Saturday morning, a ballast laden truck going at high speed crushed a cyclist on the Deoghar-Sultanganj main road under Jasidih police station area of Deoghar district of Jharkhand. Due to this, the cyclist Mithilesh Kumar Yadav (19 years), resident of Padanbera village of Jasidih police station area, died on the spot. After the incident, angry villagers chased the ballast laden truck (BR-08G/3082). In this sequence, the driver parked the truck near the Kothia toll tax barrier and fled from there. The villagers who reached the spot set the truck on fire. The front part of the truck got burnt in the incident. After receiving information about the incident, the fire brigade team reached there and extinguished the fire. On the other hand, Inspector cum station in-charge of Jasidih police station Ravi Thakur and other police officers reached the spot and after investigation, tried to clear the jam of vehicles on the road, but did not succeed. During this period the road remained blocked for about two and a half hours. After this, after conducting Panchnama of the body, the police of Jasidih police station sent the body to Sadar Hospital for post-mortem.
How did the incident happen?
Rajesh Yadav, father of deceased Mithilesh, told that on Saturday morning Mithilesh was going from his home on bicycle to the PDS shop located in Shankari to get ration. In this sequence, the truck driver coming fast and carelessly from the front hit him. Due to this he died on the spot. Mithilesh was an intermediate student in Deoghar College. Angered by the incident, the family members blocked the road demanding the arrest of the truck driver and compensation. After receiving information about the jam, Deoghar CO Anil Kumar reached the spot and after pacifying the people, asked for immediate post-mortem. During this, villagers Sarju Prasad and Naresh Yadav said that the father of the deceased is a farmer labourer. The financial condition of the house is very bad. Mithilesh was the elder son of the family and was studying, who would have been the support of the family. The family is devastated by this incident. After this, the Circle Officer provided financial assistance of Rs 10,000 to the family of the deceased for immediate cremation.

In this sequence, a young man crossing the road near Shankari was crushed and tried to run away. After this, the driver ran away after parking the vehicle near the toll tax located at some distance. After getting information about the incident, villagers gathered near the truck and set it on fire. Inspector cum police station in-charge Ravi Thakur, SI Rajesh Jha, Mukesh Tiwari, Amarnath Manjhi, Kaushal Kishore Singh, Rajendra Sinku and other policemen reached the spot and the spot where the truck was burnt by fire and investigated.
