Bhuvi did a bad job
When the two teams faced each other for the first time in a group match, Bhuvneshwar Kumar spoiled Pakistan’s start by removing both the openers for a total of three runs. Somehow Pakistan put 162 runs on the board before getting all out against India’s bowling. It was a modest score which was made even smaller by Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan putting on 86 runs for the first wicket. India easily won the match by eight wickets.
Openers made it one sided
Once again both the teams came face to face in the Super-4 stage. Pakistani batsmen improved this time and set a target of 238 runs in front of India. It was not an easy target against good bowling, but in the next few hours, Pakistani fans saw the highest opening partnership from India against their team, which made the match very one-sided. Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma put on 210 runs for the first wicket as India defeated Pakistan for the second time in four days.
