Tanuja Kanwar (28), Katherine Bryce (25 not out) and captain Beth Mooney (24) were the main scorers for Gujarat. Kerr dismissed Ashley Gardner for 19 with a carrot outside the off-stump.
Chasing 127 to win their second match at the event, defending champions Mumbai Indians, who started with a thrilling win against Delhi Capitals on the opening night, rode on captain Harmanpreet Kaur’s unbeaten 46 and Kerr’s 25-ball 31. Played an innings. The score reached 129/5 in 8.1 overs.
