Women’s Junior Hockey World Cup: India in Pool C, first match against Canada

Santiago | India have been placed in Group C along with Belgium, Canada and Germany for the Women’s Junior Hockey World Cup to be held in Chile later this year. India will begin their campaign against Canada on the opening day of the event on November 29. India are among the 16 teams that have been divided into four groups of four teams each in the tournament to be played from November 29 to December 10.
The event featuring 16 of the world’s best women’s junior teams will be played on the new grounds of the National Stadium in Santiago.
The official launch of the FIH Hockey Women’s Junior World Cup Chile 2023 took place on Thursday at the headquarters of the Chilean Olympic Committee.
Pool A consists of Australia, Chile, Netherlands and South Africa while Pool B consists of Argentina, South Korea, Spain and Zimbabwe. Pool D consists of England, Japan, New Zealand and the United States.
After taking on Canada on the first day of the competition, India will take on Germany in their second match on December 1.
