WPL became a game changer for women’s cricket, two daughters of Jharkhand are showing their strength in the tournament.

Till now, women in the country have been recognized through Commonwealth and Olympic games, but in recent years, curiosity about women’s cricket has also increased among the spectators. In this series, WPL i.e. Women’s Premier League, started on the lines of IPL, is a big step towards the upliftment of women. Now women cricketers have got a new platform to showcase their talent, due to which the hope of young players to get more and more opportunities has increased. Also an attempt to bring women’s cricket at par with men’s cricket.

Two daughters of Jharkhand are showing their strength in WPL

Currently the second season of WPL is going on. Its effect is visible not only on women cricketers but also on the entire half of the population. There was a time when it was not considered good for girls to play and jump. Today daughters are showing their strength in sports. Two players from Jharkhand are also showing strength in WPL-2024. In this, Indrani Roy of Bokaro is playing for Royal Challenger Bangalore, while Ashwini Kumari of Jamshedpur is associated with Delhi Capitol team. Like IPL, common women are showing enthusiasm for WPL. Their enthusiasm is increasing even more after seeing the women cricketers.

BCCI is supporting women’s cricket a lot

Started the academy last year. These days 20-25 girls are taking coaching in the academy. WPL has brought a huge opportunity for women cricketers. Today there is no difference between boys and girls. Women are becoming coaches along with players. BCCI is also supporting women’s cricket a lot. They have started getting salaries equal to male cricketers. The girls are playing very well. The Cricket Association has also created a women’s wing, under which one match is held every week.
