Asian Games gold medalist Vinesh Phogat said that the Khap Panchayat can take such a decision, which may not be in the interest of the country. In fact, a few days ago, various khaps, women’s and farmer’s organizations had given an ultimatum to the government till May 21 after holding a mahapanchayat at Jantar Mantar in support of the wrestlers. Then it was said that if the government does not accept the demands of these wrestlers, then we can take a big decision. Sunday is the last day of that ultimatum and once again leaders of Khap organizations and farmer organizations are going to gather here. Vinesh said, ‘The decision that our Khap and farmer leaders will take on Sunday can be big. It may not be in the interest of the country. It is possible that this will also harm the country. Till now we have suffered a lot. What could have been resolved in a minute took a month. The farmer’s movement lasted for 13 months and definitely hurt the country. So if there is another movement, then definitely the country will suffer. The wrestlers are now going to the temple and gurudwara from the protest site. Bajrang Punia said that he would take out a candle march at India Gate on Tuesday. Vinesh also said that we will continue this and temples, mosques, gurudwaras and churches will take our message for justice everywhere.

However, the Delhi Police issued a statement on the whole issue saying that none of those who had valid tickets or passes were stopped from entering the stadium.
